What is a REALTOR®?
REALTORS® (real-tors) are members of a three-tiered trade association (local, state and national), committed to professionalism and dignity in serving their clients and customers in the real estate industry. All members are required to abide by the strict Code of Ethics of the National Association of REALTORS®, and state and federal Fair Housing Laws. A REALTOR® in Wisconsin is required to take hours of continuing education, as approved by the Department of Licensing, and must pass an exam to renew their license every biennium. REALTORS® participate in the Multiple Listing Service where home listings are compiled and the data is generated and distributed throughout the entire country.

MEMBERSHIP MEETING | JANUARY 7, 2026
Mark Dutter, AMD Accounting, at The Barn on Prairie. Registration at 8:30 A.M. the meeting will start at 9 A.M. Mark will give us some great accounting information that will help you with your business planning. Perfect for New REALTORS and All our Members. Will include but not limited to, Creating LLC/S-Corp, Tax advice for REALTORS and independent contractors, Investing and more. 2026 Annual Cornhole Tournament, January 31 2026
Join us again this year for our annual cornhole tournament, held again at the Roxtar Bar 3900 Milton Ave in Janesville. 11 a.m. Registration and Bags Fly at 12:00 P.M. Cost is $25 per person/$50 per team. Minimum of six games played per team. There is also a Throw for the Hole (tickets will be sold) and some great silent auction baskets. Basket donations are greatly appreciated, please contact Stephanie Mawhinney for more information on those. RPAC Annual trip to Madison for Realtor & Government Day
Our RPAC Committee is working on the next Realtor & Government trip to Madison. We will be having another bus this year, $10 per person. Food and Beverages on the bus trip and just a lot of fun. Join us on the bus and no worries for driving there. And, we get dropped off at the door. What is better than that. Looking for Bus Sponsors, contact Mary Gilbank-Peterson for details. February 4, 2026, Our first Lunch & Learn–The topic is FinCEN and will be held at The Associated Bank in Janesville. 11:30 a.m. till 1 p.m.
March TBD, Membership meeting with SCWBA and an Affiliate panel. This will be a great meeting.
April 12, 2026 at Bazinga’s from 1-4 p.m. This is put on by our Community Involvement Committee, it is a meat raffle. Sound like fun!
April 22, 2026, Round 2 with an event showcasing our Affiliate members. last year we called it “Speed Dating” at the Barn on Prairie tentative 3 p.m. start.
